Paper Mache Art

Hi guys! I am Saaket and as my brother had said, I will be posting all my art creations and other creative works. This is my first one, a Paper Mache bowl. The story behind this is that, one day I had a very bad toothache and was persuaded by my mother to go to the dentist. Once I had gone to the dentist, I was feeling scared as to what the dentist might say. She told me that I had a cavity and also that the flesh inside my gums had got rotten. She told that I had to get an operation done to remove the rotten flesh and add ceramic there and also a cap. The name was a scary and long one too…it was called ‘PULPECTOMY’. I was so scared just hearing this, and, being just seven years old, I thought they were trying to harm me. The operation was scheduled for a week later and through the week, I was crying a lot. Finally, the day came when I was getting the operation. I went there feeling very scared. There the doctor, who was my original doctor’s husband, was really friendly. He also shared his name with one of my best friends at school! He told me not to worry and gave me a small injection. After a few seconds I felt numb around my gums. He then took a needle and slowly removed the rotten flesh, and put in the ceramic filling. He then cleaned my teeth and put the cap. I was so happy going back home. The procedure was painless and I was so happy, that I decided to make something for the doctor. I saw that there were so many newspapers lying around and I decided to make this colourful bowl.
